S. in Science Education, Cum Laude, as well as a Masters in Zoology. Dr. Burgette then followed her dream to become a dentist by attending East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.

During her study she was afforded the chance to travel to the Dominican Republic with fellow dentists and dental students as part of the Dominican Dental Mission Project to improve the oral health of their underserved population. Dr. Burgette graduated from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine in 2016.

Growing up in a small town she always knew she wanted to come back home to practice dentistry.
